    Concentration, volume, units

    The arithmetic is the same for any compound. The dose below is arbitrary — chosen to show the steps, not to suggest anything:

    1. 1. Concentration

      Vial amount ÷ water added. A 50 mg vial with 5 mL of water is 10 mg/mL.

    2. 2. Volume per dose

      Your dose ÷ concentration. A 2 mg dose at 10 mg/mL is 0.2 mL.

    3. 3. Units to draw

      Volume per dose × 100 for a U-100 syringe (or × 40 for a U-40). 0.2 mL on a U-100 syringe is 20 units.

    Worked example

    You have a 50 mg vial, you want a 2 mg dose, and you add 5 mL of bacteriostatic water. Concentration is 50 ÷ 5 = 10 mg/mL. Volume per dose is 2 ÷ 10 = 0.2 mL. On a U-100 syringe that's 0.2 × 100 = 20 units, and the vial holds 25 doses.

    GHK-Cu vials are larger than most

    GHK-Cu is commonly supplied in considerably larger vial sizes than most compounds in this category, which changes the arithmetic in one practical way: the same water volume produces a much more concentrated solution, so unit readings come out small and a misread costs proportionally more.

    The usual response is to reconstitute with a larger water volume than you would for a milligram-scale vial, which brings the readings back into a comfortable part of the syringe barrel. The calculator above shows how the two trade off.

    Worth stating plainly: topical GHK-Cu is an established cosmetic ingredient, but injectable GHK-Cu has no regulatory approval in any major jurisdiction, and evidence from topical use establishes nothing about systemic administration.
