How the BPC-157 math works
BPC-157 vials are labeled in milligrams but doses are usually spoken of in micrograms — the calculator handles the unit conversion and the three steps from vial to syringe:
1. Concentration
Vial amount ÷ water added. A 10 mg vial with 2 mL of water is 5 mg/mL.
2. Volume per dose
Your dose ÷ concentration. A 0.25 mg dose at 5 mg/mL is 0.05 mL.
3. Units to draw
Volume per dose × 100 for a U-100 syringe (or × 40 for a U-40). 0.05 mL on a U-100 syringe is 5 units.
Worked example
You have a 10 mg vial, you want a 250 mcg dose, and you add 2 mL of bacteriostatic water. Concentration is 10 ÷ 2 = 5 mg/mL. Volume per dose is 0.25 ÷ 5 = 0.05 mL. On a U-100 syringe that's 0.05 × 100 = 5 units, and the vial holds 40 doses.
The mcg trap, and why water choice matters more here
The single most common BPC-157 mistake is a unit mix-up: doses are usually quoted in micrograms (250 or 500 mcg are typical figures in common use), while vials are labeled in milligrams. 250 mcg is 0.25 mg — a thousandfold difference from 250 mg. The calculator's mg/mcg toggle exists exactly so that conversion never happens in your head.
Because BPC-157 doses are small, the amount of bacteriostatic water you add decides how readable your draw is. A 250 mcg dose from a 5 mg vial with 1 mL of water is just 5 units on a U-100 syringe — easy to overshoot. The same dose with 3 mL of water is 15 units, a much easier line to hit. More water means larger, more forgiving draws; the trade-off is a bigger liquid volume in the vial.
